The East Midlands School Of Christian Ministry

The content of the courses is particularly relevant to those who are engaged in Christian ministry such as preaching, Bible class teaching, Church leadership and children's work

Below you will find information about the courses we offer.

EMSCM Course

This course is intended for those living locally. The Saturday sessions (9:30am to 1pm) comprise of four 45-minute lectures. No other work is required from the students except for those wishing to write essays and undertake tests for the Certificate of Merit.

The Course began on Saturday morning, 12 January 2008 at 9:30am, however students can join at anytime during the Course.  You are advised to come early for registration.

Lecure notes are provided, and recordings of all lectures on CDs are available for purchase . Also on this website, we provide access to "Member Resources" which give access to mp3 format of all lectures.

Foundation Course in Theology and Christian Ministry

This Course covers two years of the EMSCM programme (September 2007 - June 2009) and is affiliated to the Regents Theological College Nantwich, leading to a recognised Theological College Certificate.

The Course includes lectures, writing essays, short tests, examinations and practical projects. Greek and/or Hebrew studies can, if the student wishes, constitute a part of the programme.

Students wishing to participate in this Course must apply now as this Course will not be repeated beyond June 2009.

Correspondence Course

Designed for those who cannot attend the Saturday sessions. This includes CDs and notes of all lectures plus the opportunity to write essays to encourage a higher degree of learning.

This is a valueable resource for those living in other parts of the country or world. All lectures are recorded onto CDs which, along with lecture notes, are sent to students participating. Essays are marked and comments are fed back to the student.

Access to the "Members Resources" on the Website containing mp3s of past lectures is also available.

Greek and Hebrew Modules

In addition to the courses, evening classes for studying Greek and Hebrew are available in the following topics; New Testament Greek for Beginners, New Testament Greek Translation and Syntax, Old Testament Hebrew Beginners
